This is the moment in yesterday's online awards ceremony when Dr Latika Samalia, Professional Practice Fellow in the Department of Anatomy, School of Biomedical Sciences at University of Otago, heard the Hon Chris Hipkins announcing her as the Prime Minister’s Supreme Awardee.

An online uproar of congratulations, applause and messages followed from colleagues, family, attendees in the TTEA online ceremony webinar and no doubt, those watching via the Youtube live stream. Latika also received a sustained excellence award in the awards General Category and an additional endorsement for “Excellence in supporting Pacific learners".
