Workshop Details

This facilitated online course with facilitator John Delany will take place over three weeks, with a scheduled video conference during the second week.

Course participants will work through a sequence of self-managed learning activities with guidance from the facilitator, and contribute to discussion forums with other participants.
It is expected that a minimum of 7 hours of engagement will be required during the course.

Focussing on your teaching subject you will investigate three critical questions:

  • What does a good assessment look like?
  • Am I assessing what I need my students to learn?
  • Are my students supported to achieve the learning outcomes?

Who should attend:

This workshop will be suitable for any tertiary teacher needing a sound experience-based introduction to the principles and practices of assessment of and for student learning.

It will be valuable for recently appointed teachers, experienced teachers who need to revisit this content, and, those responsible for leading the design, implementation and review of assessments.
