Connecting to students on a cultural level can lead to stronger relationships, improved engagement, increased pass rates and ultimately, better learning outcomes.
Ako Aotearoa has developed two online cultural resources for tertiary educators. These resources contain interactive and multi-sensory activities that enhance educators’ cultural awareness and knowledge of Pacific and Māori learners.
Māori Cultural Capability Pathway

The Māori Cultural Capability Pathway comprises four interactive modules, designed to increase cultural awareness of Māori knowledge and values:
