This interactive workshop introduces tools and strategies that you can share with your learners to help them make informed decisions about money, and to develop their financial planning skills.
This interactive workshop looks at the luring influence of marketing on our spending, the difference between needs and wants, prioritising our obligations (including cultural ones), why Pacific Island communities are set up differently to manage our finances and activities, the difference between poor and broke, and where to go for more assistance in managing financial wellbeing.
Who is this in-house workshop for?
This workshop is recommended for teaching and learning support practitioners seeking to expand their understanding and practice. (Tapatoru Pūkenga Papa Rua – Level 2)
Ako Aotearoa ALNACC PLD Courses
Each course consists of a workshop delivered face-to-face or by video conference, followed by optional four-week facilitator support. This support is in the form of a community of professional learning. It is self-paced and takes a minimum of 1-2 hours of engagement per week.
During these four weeks participants will have the opportunity to practise and reflect on the new learning and exchange experiences and ideas with each other and the facilitator.
Participants can earn Ako Aotearoa digital badges as evidence of participation and completion of course requirements.
