This kete supports educators and practitioners to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

Free self-directed content | The Māori Cultural Capability Educator Pathway
‘Wairuatanga’ (spirituality) is a traditional Māori value and practice that has evolved to include Christian beliefs and practices.
This Educator Pathway explores Wairuatanga and how integrating this value can help foster a safe, inclusive and supportive teaching and learning environment.
Topics include:
- The concept of ‘wairua’ from a Māori worldview
- Wairuatanga in the Māori world
- Wairuatanga in education
- Wairuatanga in the workplace
This online tool encourages educators to engage in deliberate acts of consideration, application, and reflection on some of the pedagogies for their own practice with Māori learners.
The pathway is an online cultural resource for adults. It was designed to complement what people are already doing in their workplaces and with adult learners. We are constantly adding new content and multi-media activities
