Aotearoa suffers a huge loss at the passing away of warrior woman, Christine Herzog. Christine was instrumental in the establishment of the Treaty of Waitangi professional development program for Ako Aotearoa in recent years. Through her efforts, thousands of educators in the tertiary sector have become enlightened about the Treaty. She worked tirelessly and with gentleness to educate fellow Tangata Tiriti about the Treaty. We are indebted to her for her wonderful work.

So, farewell Christine. It is fitting that we accord you with the status of 'rangatira' for your wonderful contribution to Aotearoa. Your spirit has now passed from this world and you are now a star glimmering in the night sky.
