Project Details

A one-year project that was undertaken by the University of Auckland, to create an interactive website that is relevant and accessible to a wide range of students and teachers in introductory programming courses. 

Aims: 

The main aims of the project were to:

  • identify and prioritise fundamental Learning Outcomes in the ACM and IEEE guidelines that are key to introductory programming courses
  • design and implement activities with appropriate scaffolding to ensure the Learning Outcomes are addressed.

Methodology: 

Developing the interactive website involved:

  • recruiting a software developer to create the website activities
  • identifying the Learning Outcomes that needed to be targeted by the activities.
