About Tapatoru

Developed by Ako Aotearoa, Tapatoru is a professional development programme focused on elevating the practice of educators in New Zealand's tertiary education sector.

The programme is built on four core values: Whanaungatanga (building relationships), Manaakitanga (showing respect and care), Wairuatanga (nurturing the spirit), and Aroha (empathy).

These values are pivotal for fostering inclusive and effective learning environments. The Tapatoru Awards celebrate educators who excel in applying these values in their roles and practice a values-led approach to tertiary education.

Register now to be a part of this fantastic and inspirational celebration!
