About the workshop
Workshop outline
UDL is a framework to support educators in creating flexible and inclusive learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Ako Aotearoa developed the UDL Educator Pathway as a free, self-directed course for educators to familiarise themselves with the UDL framework and principles.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of UDL, and discuss strategies for implementing UDL into everyday teaching practice, including identifying and removing barriers to learning and providing flexible options and choices for achieving learner outcomes.
Topics covered
- What is UDL?
- The science that underpins the UDL framework.
- Practical tips and strategies for putting UDL into practice.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- describe what UDL is and how it supports inclusion
- recognise what may create barriers to learning for learners
- apply a range of strategies to strengthen the inclusivity of your teaching practice.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for educators who are interested in learning more about UDL and how it can be implemented to benefit all learners.
