What is the DFQM?
New organisation to lead Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark programmeThe Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and Learning MATTERS have announced an important update to management of the Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark (DFQM). |
Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark standards
To achieve the DFQM, organisations needed to meet standards that measured their practice in four key areas:
- leadership and management
- the quality of teaching and learning
- the teaching and learning environment provided for learners
- the quality of the organisation's relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Organisations needed to submit documentary evidence that they had met the standards.
The DFQM WAGOLL provides examples of what a dyslexia-friendly organisation will look like.
For a deeper look at the evidence underpinning the DFQM, read the Literature Review.
