Workplace LLN educators work in one of the most demanding education environments. They need a combination of great people skills, excellent analysis and planning skills, a rich repertoire of instructional strategies, and confidence in teaching language, literacy and numeracy.
As part of their role, they also need to analyse workplace demands and assess learners’ current skills.
Ako Aotearoa has designed a series of workshops throughout the month of June to specifically help educators develop these essential skills:
9 June: Workplace LLN | Numeracy in the workplace
16 June: Workplace LLN | The LNAAT assessments
23 June: Workplace LLN | Reading and writing in the workplace
30 June: Workplace LLN | Needs analysis
Each workshop has been designed for Workplace LLN educators but can also benefit any educator who delivers LLN to adult learners and help them to succeed in their role.
Participants can register for these workshops individually or take advantage of a 25% discount when registering for all four sessions.
Coming up next month:
In July the spotlight will be on Language and Literacy.
Registrations are now open for early bookings.
