Confirmed yesterday, the sponsorship signals a shared drive to support and celebrate Māori success in Aotearoa New Zealand.
For the hui this year, Ako Aotearoa has teamed up with the 11 Industry Training Organisations represented by Te Rautaki Whakarōpū Māori of the Industry Training Federation. The event aims to showcase the many vocational pathways these learners can take to develop skills that bring success for them, their whānau, communities, iwi and country.
The three day event brings together an inspiring range of presenters, research, projects and resources developed to support tertiary Māori learners and the staff that support them.
Dr Joseph Te Rito, Ako Aotearoa’s Deputy Director Māori, believes the more that key agencies work together on issues to build greater parity of outcomes for Māori, the greater chance we have of achieving this. He also encourages Māori to attend this conference where they will learn about the multiple pathways to further education and employment available to our rangatahi.
