Published: 18 December 2023

This study explores digital skills in Aotearoa New Zealand by examining existing frameworks and international policies, aiming to define digital literacy, justify the need for a framework, and propose key components for a tailored approach.

These skills are now required for full participation in life, community and work, yet studies show that in Aotearoa New Zealand there is still a considerable percentage of the population without the skills to do this.

This reports suggests some possible approaches to be considered in order to determine a feasible, practical and manageable way forward to progress a digital skills framework.
