Project Details

A project, completed in 2009, to move the text-based material on the “Parent and Child Time Together” (PACTT) component of the Manukau Family Literacy programme currently used, to a digital video/multi-media presentation format that can be used in a range of environments, by a variety of people. A collaboration of City of Manukau Education Trust and AUT University.

Aims: 

The main aims of the project were to:

  • develop the PACTT programme into a digital video/multi-media presentation format
  • make the PACTT programme material more portable to other kinds of providers.

Methodology: 

The project methodology involved:

  • identifying technical experts for DVD production
  • working with adult learners and teachers to portray Parent and Child Time Together (PACTT) sessions
  • editing and mastering of the DVD
  • promotion of PACTT programme DVD.
