$50 + GST RegisterLeadership in Pacific cultures is not an indiviual pursuit, but a collective journey anchored in the principles of ‘tautua’ (service). This workshop invites leaders to reflect on their roles as stewards of their communities, emphasising cultural focus to lead with service at the heart.
The workshop prepares participants to sustain leadership practices that honour cultural values while addressing the needs of diverse communities.

This is a Level 1 (introductory) workshop. No prior knowledge is required.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for educators and leaders, both emerging and established leaders, in Pacific and non-Pacific communities to enhance cultural capability, promote inclusive leadership practices and strengthen pedagogical strategies.
Topics covered
- Foundations of ‘leadership through service’: How tautua creates impactful leadership.
- Building resilient teams through service: Identifying team strengths and gaps using tautua principles.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- discuss the role of tautua in collaborative and inclusive leadership models
- analyse the cultural principles of tautua and the application to leadership practices.
