In 2024, 10 individuals and 1 group of teachers received Te Whatu Kairangi – Aotearoa Tertiary Educator Awards for their contribution to tertiary teaching and learning under the General, Kaupapa Māori, Le Moana Mua, and new Te Tohu Reo categories.

Kerry Davis, from Otago Polytechnic, and Hiria Tumoana, from Eastern Institute of Technology were announced as this year’s recipients of the Te Kaiako Ngātahi o te Tau a Te Pirimia | Prime Minister’s Joint Educator of the Year award.
