Project Details
This project by Besafe Training aimed to investigate the effectiveness of workplace health and safety training programmes for industry training providers.
Aims:
The project aimed to:
- identify areas where workplace Health and Safety training has been less than effective – both on an individual level, and whole-of-organisation level
- develop an implementation plan to improve the training in ineffective areas.
Methodology:
- Compare the Health & Safety reports of 10 - 15 organisations before, and after Health and Safety training has been provided.
- Conduct interviews with organisational Health and Safety representatives to find out whether they have observed significant behavioural changes in their employees since the training.
- Conduct interviews with individual staff to assess retention of Health and Safety information and application of skills.
