The DFQM process has been a game changer for them. It has helped them review their policies and procedures, as well as their teaching approach. It has enhanced their awareness and understanding of dyslexia, and built their confidence in supporting dyslexic learners in their learning journey. 

Chris Cole, one of Ako Aotearoa’s DFQM facilitators, said the SIT team had demonstrated “authenticity, passion, dedication, and commitment to improving the lives of the learners at SIT,” and that it was impressive and heartening to hear “how learner success was measured by how the learner sees themselves differently from knowing about and owning their dyslexia.”
