This is a common cause of learner frustration and can lead to the learner dropping out altogether. Understanding the numeracy demands of a course enables the educator to develop targeted and effective instruction that can equip learners to master the numeracy they need. Essentially, the more you know, the more you can do to support learners.
This workshop provides a method any educator can use to identify the numeracy demands of their courses and how to prioritise these. This is a great skill and can be applied to any environment or context.
The workshop provides an introduction to the Developing number skills course and the Developing statistical and measurement skills course for those wishing to further develop their skills.
