Background:
This project, completed in 2011, examined the use of a holistic approach in a programme that included contextualised, ‘mana-enhancing’ academic up skilling to make the most of student ‘passion’ for their chosen course.
The educational environment and pedagogical practices allowed a very high percentage of the learners to complete a Bachelor of Applied Social Work (Bicultural) (BASW) successfully.
