A professional development resource for new Tertiary teachers

This resource comprises 10 one-page “primers” created to support new tertiary teacher at the start of their new roles.

It has a variety of learning and teaching strategies, practices and processes to help educators pass on their expert knowledge to students.

Background:

The original Signposts resource was developed in 2008.

An evaluation of the resource was conducted in 2010 led by Judith Honeyfield. The project involved five tertiary institutions, the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, NorthTec, Waikato Institute of Technology, Manukau Institute of Technology and Waiariki Institute of Technology.
