About this site

Ako Aotearoa, New Zealand’s National Centre for Tertiary Teaching Excellence, was funded by the Tertiary Education Commission from 2007 to 2025.

To ensure continued access to the tools and resources created by Ako Aotearoa, Massey University has transferred them to this new repository.

This will help ensure key outputs from the Ako Aotearoa Knowledge Centre, including co-funded research and teaching resources, remain freely available to the tertiary sector and that the Ako Aotearoa legacy continues to support educators and learners.

Browse the available categories to find high-quality, evidence-based teaching tips and research by and for the New Zealand Tertiary Sector.

A selection of key language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) resources developed by the Ako Aotearoa Manako programme, including the Learning Progressions resources, are now available on the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) website.
