Strategic management for e-Learning

Taking the Lead

This report presents the findings from an investigation into how tertiary institutions are using e-learning and offers guidelines for institutional practice.

This report is aimed at the chief executives and senior executive officers of New Zealand’s tertiary education institutions and organisations. It is designed to help you consider the contribution you can make to the strategic development and management of e-Learning in your institution.

An accompanying set of case studies from New Zealand Tertiary Education Organisations illustrate the themes explored in the report.

While this research is from 2008, the findings may still be of use for guiding decision making in the rapidly evolving area of technology-enhanced learning.
